An office, then a video, then a song
At first, it might sound like I mislabeled this post, but stick with me, there's a song. Pre-2020, I wanted to design a remote office space project just for practice. I decided to use a shipping container design, which is not uncommon for backyard offices. I wanted to keep it minimalistic. Here's a rough image of what I had come up with.

The weird-looking thing on the right is a steel panel with shapes cut out for privacy and shade (and aesthetic). Both the front and back wall of the office are glass, and I decided to create an exterior space where this office might sit. This is where the project took a turn.
As I began designing an exterior space, it became more remote and more mysterious. By the time I was done, I had a dark and magical scene that had taken over my simple office project. With ideas for movement and animation coming to mind, a still rendered image wouldn't suffice. But no one likes watching silent videos.
I decided to quickly make a simple sound track for the video, but before I knew it, I was engrossed in creating the feeling of this space in the woods, wanting to invoke thoughts about how it came to be and what happens there. It's a meditative piece, both musically and visually, and I hope you enjoy it! (best experienced with headphones, but not required)
