So fresh and so clean
I'm not going to walk through all the steps of finishing up this project, because it's time to wrap this thing up and get to the good part (the end results!). But I'll still give you the short version.
I got the trim back on around the window and door. This is the same trim from before; I just sanded and painted it gray.
After I got the vanity installed, my dad helped me cut and install the vanity top, which was quite hefty. After getting the sink plumbed in, we finally had a fully functional bathroom again!
The baseboard trim was new, so I painted that, and then had to do all the cutting and fitting to get that in. That was really my first time putting in baseboard trim, so I'm pretty OK with the results. It's surprising how much baseboard trim finishes a space.

Since there isn't enough room on the right side of the window for typical curtain rod hardware, I made a couple wooden blocks to hold a rod. The rod is a piece of metal electrical conduit I painted with black enamel, so the whole setup only cost about $5, plus the cost of the curtains.

Installing the new ceiling vent fan/light was a bit of a burden since it meant several hours in the attic. After making some improvements from the previous installation (and after much sweating and flopping about up there), the new vent and light was in. I also had to make a shroud to cover the larger-than-normal hole in the ceiling from the previous installation.
After getting the vanity backsplash installed, the mirror installed, and the vanity light back up, we were just about there! Hang some art on the wall, and put down a rug or two, and we went from this...

to this!
Also, here are the 3d renders I originally made when I first conceived of the remodel. We chose to make a few changes along the way, and I'm very glad we made each of those changes.
I'm very pleased with the end result. The room looks and feels fresh, minimal, and more spacious. Of course, with a new toilet, new shower hardware, new vanity, sink, sink faucet, and vent fan, the entire bathroom functions much more nicely as well.
Project successful!
I sure wish I knew how to do that stuff, and make it turn out that nice.
